Black History Month

Black History Month presents an opportunity to acknowledge the sacrifices and celebrate triumphs made by African Americans to our communities, industry, and company. This month, we're honoring the Black experience by amplifying Team Member voices across Tractor Supply and the value they bring to Life Out Here.

"As a new Store Manager at Tractor Supply, I have had the great opportunity to open the 2000th store. This honor was made possible by the support of knowledgeable leaders, the surrounding community, and an amazing team.  This experience has been one of the most monumental moments of my career. The team environment, mission and values, and family culture that I have encountered daily continues to drive me toward success. I find that I am now empowered to enlighten others about our powerful mission and values and the Legendary service that Tractor provides.  I look forward to my future with the company and am proud to be a part of this ever changing and growing team."

“For the first time in my career, I can truly say that I feel included, and my views are appreciated. I am grateful that Tractor Supply has empowered me to be a positive influence in the lives of our Team Members when it is most impactful to their lives. I have had great experiences with the people I work with because of the freedom Tractor has given me to make these decisions that help others in a time of need. As a result, I have been committed to continuous Team Member development by helping to cultivate an environment that supports Team Member engagement and learning. By investing time into our Team Members, they grow to understand that their individuality is valued and that they play an integral part of TSC’s success.”

“I am motivated to come to work every day because I am walking into a welcoming environment, and I know that I am able to be a positive influence to Team Members who service our stores daily. TSC has empowered me to lead through my connections with others as well as consistent utilization of our mission and values. One of my most memorable experiences has been visiting the SSC and meeting with some of our Chief Officers. It was powerful to hear about how TSC has changed their lives and the longevity they’d experienced with the company.”

“As an African American woman working at Tractor Supply Company, I can say that my work experience has been both educational and exhilarating. Being a member of the African Americans on the RISE Steering Committee, I have the opportunity to use the platform to build relationships, to be more inclusive, to be more supportive and to educate others about the challenges and sacrifices that are being made to be stronger together for equality”.

Respect and having a winning attitude have led me to having a prosperous career path at Tractor Supply. Being a member of our African American on the Rise Group, has given me the opportunity to work with members of our store teams to drive diversity and inclusion throughout Tractor Supply.”

“Coming from more of an urban background to Tractor seven years ago, I wondered if Tractor Supply Company would be a career opportunity that would be embracive. I can say with confidence that Tractor has been, and continues to be, a worthwhile professional experience where my unique personal lens and breadth of experiences have been both welcomed and challenged in productive ways. With Tractor, I’ve met some of the smartest people, participated in some of the most engaging conversations, and been a part of some of the most creative teams. I can say without hesitation that I have grown more personally and professionally during the last seven years than in the fifteen years prior.”

Tractor Supply is proud of the contributions we’ve made to our greater community, and specifically those in partnership with our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team, as well as our African Americans on The Rise Team Member Engagement Group.
